Just a little something I created using the artpad app on my ipod.
Last Saturday my boyfriend and I went to Avilon Zoo in Montalban, Rizal. We’ve both been there before but the last time we went there was a long time ago and so we decided to visit the zoo again and have our date there. The zoo was huge and it took us quite some time to get around. We decided not to take a guide with us and just walk around on our own so that we could take our time looking at the animals. Overall, I think that the zoo is well maintained as it was clean as compared to other zoos. The cages were also big enough for the animals, though there were some cages that are a bit too small especially those for the birds.
I’m a bit sad though to see that some animals seemed sad and it made me think about whether it is right too keep these animals in zoos. My boyfriend and I talked about it and we both agreed that maybe it is okay to keep animals in zoos as long as they are given proper care. Because after all, the wild is no longer too safe for the animals to stay in because people only destroy the habitat of these animals and they only end up losing a place to stay in and eventually dying.
A trip to the zoo was definitely a great start for my summer vacation. Thanks Ron for another great date! <3
The semester is about to end and the amount of school work is really drowning me physically, mentally and spiritually as well. Today in dgroup we discussed about how God’s grace is enough to get us through whatever it is that is making us feel as if we can’t hold it together much longer. For me, I really need God’s grace to get me through this semester. School has really been stressful for the past weeks because as I mentioned earlier there’s a LOT of schoolwork that needs to be done and not to mention the drama that is happening in our organization. Because of all these things, I haven’t really been spending much time with God when in fact it is Him that I really need. I guess sometimes we just want to take things into our own hands thinking that we can do things on our own but the truth is we need God’s grace to get us through. “don’t panic, just pray” is just a simple reminder for all of us that we can call on God for help. In the middle of whatever chaos we might be facing let us remember that God is bigger than our problems and His grace would be enough to get us through. :)
*thank you Ilyn for making this for me. It makes my wall look so much better! :)
This is exactly what God tells me every single day. :)

We have a bloomer, folks! I repeat, we have a bloomer! The Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s CherryWatch Blossom Status Map shows that Prunus Okame is in first bloom.
Spring! Bring it on!
